Testimonial:

“It was a pleasure working with Euan Mackenzie in 2009. I asked Euan to come with some experimental new ideas for an update of my personal logo that I designed in 2005. As a graphic designer myself, it’s difficult to let someone else do your graphic design but you can only see the world through your own eyes so I found it important to let someone else tell me how the world experiences me.

Euan decided to come up with a few proposals for a new logo. I really liked one of the proposals. I could immediately asset that Euan has a good sense of composition and is able to create a logo that is exciting to see. But I felt that the logo was more suited to another purpose because of it’s association with water. I decided to stick to my current personal logo which I gave a few more variations. Despite that, I am very happy to use the logo Euan created, for my “Waddenzee.eu” project. This project will be about the beautifull “Wadden Sea” that recently has become world heritage. In my opinion this logo is the ideal logo for this project.”

  3. Looks great!
How did you craft this logo? Did you play with vectors for a long time or do you have another technique for this? I often find myself being a bit evasive about certain shapes because of the complexity to achive this in vectors (a bit lazy I guess ;-) so I’d love to hear about your approach and technique for this. It would help me expand my horizon I guess :-)

    Thanks Annedien,

It took quite long to physically create the logo. It is just a matter of attention to detail, however the logo is symetrical so i only really had to create a quarter of the logo then copy and flip the other parts.

It can be very difficult creating vector images, especially for logos as they have to maintain all the characteristic of a good logo (memorable, strong, lasting) as well as looking good. Sometimes its just a matter of putting the work in until it looks right.

thanks for your interest, Annedien :)

  5. I really be keen on the subject matter to facilitate you shared. Thank you on behalf of relocation.
